What 'seasoned' actually means, and why it matters
Seasoned firewood is wood that's been split and dried for at least 6 to 12 months until moisture content drops below 20%. Properly seasoned wood burns clean and hot, gives off more heat per log, and produces dramatically less smoke and creosote buildup in your chimney. Green or wet wood burns cool, smokes heavily, and is the leading cause of chimney fires from creosote accumulation. We deliver seasoned wood only, no green stock dressed up as 'ready to burn.'
Full cord, half cord, and what they actually look like
A full cord is 4 feet wide × 4 feet tall × 8 feet long, or 128 cubic feet of stacked wood. For most homes with a fireplace or wood stove used for supplemental heat, a full cord lasts a typical Ohio winter. A half cord (64 cubic feet) is ideal for occasional indoor fires or outdoor fire pits used several times a season. Not sure what you need? Call us. How the stacking add-on works
Stacking a full cord by hand takes one person 1.5 to 2 hours. Our crew handles it for $75 on a full cord or $50 on a half, stacked within 50 feet of wherever the truck can park: woodshed, garage, or side yard. Most customers add stacking after doing it themselves exactly once.
Why summer is the best time to buy firewood
Summer firewood pricing tends to be more favorable than peak fall demand, and ordering 1 to 3 weeks before you actually need wood means you're not scrambling during a cold snap when everyone else wants delivery. We sell year-round but the most reliable supply and scheduling windows are spring through early fall.

A mix of seasoned hardwoods (primarily oak, hickory, and maple) for optimal heat output and long burn times. Hardwood mixes burn longer and cleaner than softer woods.

We are a delivery-only service for safety and convenience. No pickups available.
03How far in advance should I order?
1 to 2 weeks in advance is typical, though we can often accommodate quicker turnaround depending on availability and time of year.
04What if I need help knowing how much wood to order?
Call us and tell us how you'll use it (fireplace heat, occasional fires, outdoor fire pit). We'll right-size the order rather than upsell you.
05Can you deliver to commercial properties?
Yes, including restaurants, breweries, event venues, and HOA common areas. Multi-cord pricing available on request.
06What if the truck can't reach my preferred drop location?
We deliver to where the truck can safely access. If you need wood placed further into the property, the stacking add-on handles that within 50' of the truck.
07Do you stack in covered shelters?
Yes, we can stack in woodsheds, garages, or any covered area within 50' of the truck. Just tell us where when you order.
